The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s side will have to do some soul searching if they are to win the Series title this year and secure a spot for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic.

The Gareth Baber coached side has won two tournaments so far this season and is in third place of the Series table standings with 101 points.

Leading the table standing so far is USA with 113 points and New Zealand is in second place with 106 points.

The top four teams in the overall series standings at the end of this season will get automatic qualification for next year’s Olympic games.

Meanwhile, coach Gareth Baber says the players believe they can finish at the top of the standing this season.

Baber adds they hope to win the next tournament in Hong Kong next month.

“We’re still chasing that, I know we’ve made it difficult for ourselves sometimes but we’ve played some fantastic rugby as well and we’ve won two tournaments. The nest goal is to win the next tournament.”

Fiji is top seeds in Pool C and faces rivals New Zealand, Australia, and Kenya.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
