Fifteen awards are being contested for the Fiji Football Association Awards night next Saturday.
Fiji FA says through these awards, they plan to recognize and award players and officials for their hard work throughout the year.
“We have already shortlisted the three nominees for each category. The judges will sit down next Monday to discuss and decide on the winner and the names will be enclosed in an envelope which then will be handed to the President on the awards night day.”
The categories of the awards are Media Personality of the Year, Coach of the Year, Fair Play Player of the Year, Referee of the Year, Junior Women Footballer of the Year, Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Women Footballer of the Year, Footballer of the Year (Male), Junior Footballer of the Year (Male), Administrator of the Year – Senior Division, Administrator of the Year – Premier Division, Goal of the Year, Popular Footballer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
Meanwhile, FBC Senior Sports reporter Vashneel Prasad has been nominated for the Media Personality of the Year.
The awards night will be held next Saturday at the Sofitel hotel in Nadi and you can watch the event live on FBC Sports.
