FBC TV brings JWC 2014 to Fiji shores

May 23, 2014 12:41 am

For the second time, FBC TV will be bringing the Junior Rugby World Cup matches played in New Zealand next month to our shores.

Fiji Broadcasting Corporation chief executive Riyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum says because rugby is truly a unifying sport in Fiji, and will continue to be more in the future, airing the games to FBC viewers is important.

“A total of 30 matches will be played on FBCTV. Most of the matches will start early afternoon and finish in the late evening. All Fiji games will be live, others will be live too while some will be delayed. We’re very glad to have support from FRU and some sponsors who have come on board and obviously we are looking for more sponsors. We want to continue to bring to the people of Fiji sports events that have traditionally not been supported by other media broadcasters and that is why this is the second time we are bringing the JWC to the people of Fiji of course Free Of Charge.”
