Nouzab Fareed

Fijian Holdings group Chief Executive Nouzab Fareed has been elected as the new President for the Fiji Chess Federation.

Fareed was appointed at the federations Annual General Meeting last weekend.

Women’s champion chess player Hilda Vukikomoala is the new General Secretary.

The 2019 Chess Calendar will be announced in due course to resume the sport locally and recruit new talents.

Fiji will also aim to participate in upcoming international events such as the Oceania Zonal in New Zealand in January.
