Farebrother trophy and Bainimarama Shield launched

The opening challenge of the HFC Farebrother challenge is set to kick off on Saturday.

Fiji Rugby UNION Chief Executive, John O’Connor says they expects a tough battle as Naitasiri will be out to beat trophy holder, Nadroga and redeem their early exit from the Skipper Cup competition.

“Huge match while Nadroga will work hard to defend the trophy and I know Naitasiri is going down with the intension to redeeming themselves after their loss in the semi-finals and they will put up a good fight.”

Meanwhile, HFC Bank Acting CEO, Raj Sharma says they are proud to be the official sponsor for the coveted rugby trophy in the country.

“Some changes in the format, some changes in the game program and basically we’re quite honored to be accommodated in such a way to be part of the consortium.”

The winner of the Farebrother challenge every week will walk away with $5,000.

The Stallions will host the Highlanders at 3pm Saturday at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park and you can catch a live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji One.

Meanwhile, in the HFC Bank Ratu Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama Shield challenge Navosa defends the title against Ovalau at 3pm on Friday at Lawaqa Park.
