Fiji Rugby Union expects to announce a powerful Fiji Baabas 7s squad for the SUDAMERICA tournament in Argentina and Chile next month.
Fiji 7s trainer Nacanieli Cawanibuka says the players who were part of the Sevens World Series last season will play a major role in the team.
“Yes absolutely it’s key that we have bit of a transition in how we have our squad mix with some of the players who have been in the system for two to three years, just sharing those knowledge and the experience with the younger boys coming up. It going to be quite difficult if you have a whole new boys who have never come into the environment.”
The players who are experienced in the squad are Amenoni Nasilasila, Alivereti Veitokani and Kalione Nasoko.
The SUDAMERICA 7s will feature teams from Argentina, USA, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Colombia.
The tournament will be played on the 6th and 7th of January in Argentina and on the 14th and 15th in Chile.
