Exciting times for Fiji U20 ruggers

May 30, 2012 1:03 am

Exciting times lie ahead for the Fiji Under 20 rugby side who left our shores this morning to South Africa.

The Baby Flying Fijians face Wales in their Junior World Cup opener on Tuesday and coach Sale Sorovaki says they will do their best to handle all pressures.

“It’s an exciting time for this team. There are only two players from the last trip and for other 26, it’s a whole new experience. For the games to be televised has added more pressure to the team but also at the same time, knowing parents will watch their sons playing at a world event is a boost for the team.”

Sorovaki says they have analysed Wales style of play watching videos of their matches during the Six Nations U20 competition.

He adds Fiji’s only concern is in the tight eight, where set-pieces still need some work.

Live television coverage of the Junior World Cup will air exclusively on FBC TV.
