English to name team early tomorrow morning

September 14, 2015 12:24 am

As the countdown continues to the Rugby World Cup, the England team to play the Vodafone Flying Fijians will be named tomorrow morning.

FBC Sports Editor Indra Singh is in London following the Flying Fijians and files this report.

“A very good morning from London, where the big talking point today is the naming of the England team to take on the Vodafone Flying Fijians in the Rugby World Cup opener on Friday here and Saturday morning in Fiji.
The naming takes place this afternoon in London, which will be early tomorrow morning (Fiji time).
English coach Stuart Lancaster has decided to name his team early and give his 23 away as the momentum towards the opener continues.
Fiji will name its team on Wednesday, which is Thursday there and Coach John McKee says he will not bas his match day squad on what England puts out.
Today the side will have another run at the London Irish Rugby Club grounds, as McKee and the coaching staff start to tighten the loose ends.
The Fijian mentor says he more or less knows the 15 he will put out against England but there are a few players he needs to look at before deciding on his bench, which will play a very important role for the 80 minutes.
Meanwhile, tickets have been sold out for Twickenham but this hasn’t stopped supporters willing to pay top dollars to get tickets off those who are willing to sell.
It’s all about being part of the historic moment.”

The Flying Fijians take on England in the opening match at 7am this Saturday.
