The England women’s sevens squad has been sharing training base, facilities and coaches with their male counterparts this season as they prepare for the World Rugby series.
England men’s 7s coach, Simon Amor is leading the charge and believes both teams have been learning a lot together.
“It gives us such a huge opportunity in this Olympic qualification, it is a critical season and I guess the first a foremost it gives us really great a strong England 7s culture identity where the men can learn from the women as well as women learning of the men.”
Meanwhile, the Women’s series kicks off in Colorado in USA on Sunday where England is pooled with New Zealand, China and USA.
The Fiji Airways women’s 7s side is grouped with Canada, France and Ireland.
