The Suva-based players in the Vodafone Flying Fijians were farewelled this afternoon as they departed the capital city for Nadi before jetting out of the country tomorrow.

A handful of players, such as vice-captain, Sunia Koto, Leeroy Atalifo, Malakai Ravulo, Gabby Lovobalavu and Dominiko Waqaniburou were part of the entourage.

Families, friends and supporters along with Fiji Rugby Union representatives were on hand to offer their support to the players.

The majority of the players are already in Nadi, where the team will spend the night before fly out of the country tomorrow.

Fiji’s first World Cup pool match is against England on September 19th at 7am and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
