Emosi Mulevoro shares a bit of his life

While we’re used to watching every move the Fiji 7s players make on the field, many of us do not know much about them off it.

Emosi Mulevoro isn’t new to 7’s rugby having represented Fiji to a number of tournaments, but his outlook on life and rugby changed when he became a father eight months ago.

Staying away from home is something any father would struggle with, but Mulevoro knows that victories sometimes mean personal sacfrices are necessary.

“My trip to Dubai and Cape Town was the first time I went away from my daughter. It was really hard but I told myself that this was necessary if I wanted to represent my country. I thank God for giving me an understanding wife and blessing me with a daughter.”

The national 7’s half-back says family support and understanding of his responsibilities to the team have given him added strength.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7’s side moves back into camp next week to prepare for the next leg of the World Sevens Series.
