Eight Weightlifters will represent Fiji at the International Junior Weightlifting Championship this year.

Four women’s and four men’s will be representing Fiji in different categories of the Championship.

Wini Mekula takes on the 59Kg category, Rebecca Johns will lift in the 64Kg division, Merewalesi Vusonitokalau will participate in the 81Kg lift while Helen Seipua takes on the 87Kg plus category in the girls division.

Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Maika Taukeinikoro will lift in the 61Kg, Samuela Nasila takes on the 67Kg, Maloni Sadranu will participate in the 73Kg, and Timothy Vakuruivalu in the 96Kg division.

With the exception of Timothy Vakuruivalu, this will be the first major competition for all the other lifters.

The competition will be held in Suva from June 1^st to the 8^th.
