Eight Fijian players named in NZ Super Rugby teams

Eight Fijian players have been named in the New Zealand Super Rugby teams for next season.

All Blacks 7s star Salesi Rayasi is one of the new players named in the Hurricanes while Isaia Walker-Leawere retains his place in the 38-member squad.

Super Rugby champions Crusaders have named only Manasa Mataele in their extended squad while Jone Macilai has been dropped.

All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo will once again feature for the Highlanders together with Tevita Nabure.

Blues have also roped in two Fijian players, Alex Hodgman has been named in the front-row while Hoskins Sotutu is in the forwards.

Pita Sowakula is the only Fijian player in the Chiefs side this season.

The Super Rugby kicks off on the 15th of February next year.
