Ba football coach Yogendra Dutt has denied talking to his Suva counterpart Gurjit Singh and agreeing that Suva scored the goal in the Courts IDC final on Sunday.
Dutt says he hasn’t talked to Singh.
He adds he wants Ba fans to know that he made no such statement.
“It’s a lie. I did not talk to him and make such comments. To the general public and the fans of Ba this is not true. Whatever Gurjit is saying is a lie.”
The final turned ugly after Suva was awarded the goal by the match officials.
Ba players confronted the match officials which led to the crowd wanting to join in.
Quick action by the police and security personnel saw this incident being avoided and Suva players and officials were escorted to safety.
Fiji Football Association is yet to comment on the matter and nor have they declared a winner despite less than a minute of game time remaining.
