Duguca puts Labasa ahead of Nadroga

The Labasa football team is in a do or die situation of the Vodafone Fiji FACT at Govind Park in Ba.

The Babasiga Lions who sit in fifth position in Pool One’s standings, will need to win their next two matches against Nadroga then Navua.

A defensive error by Nadroga saw Labasa’s Livai Duguca capitalise to score in the 5th minute of play to put them up 1-0.

A good start for the Northerners who are without duo, Sandeep Nair and Amit Kanihaiya, who copped red cards resulting in missing a match.

At 1.15pm Lautoka takes on Nadi – the Blues wither need to win or draw against Nadi to qualify with Suva for the semi-finals from Pool Two.

A win for Nadi however, will grant them access to progress.

Next up is Lautoka against Nadi, Suva meets Savusavu at 2.30pm, Ba plays against Tavua at 4.15pm.

Labasa plays Navua at 5.30pm while Rewa plays Savusavu at 7pm.

Live commentaries of the Nadroga-Labasa, Lautoka-Nadi and Ba-Tavua will air on our sister station, Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
