November 29, 2012 5:59 pm

The squads have been announced for the Dubai tournament and just like the Digicel Fiji 7s team, a number of other teams have relatively new squads.

Fiji makes the most changes out of the 16 teams at the tournament.

However, Samoa has been boosted by the likes of international Paul Perez and veteran Rupeana Levasa along with Afa Aiono and Alitasi Tupou.

New Zealand has the usual suspects in Tomasi Cama, Lote Raikabula, DJ Forbes and also Kurt Baker and speedster Sherwin Stowers.

South Africa have lost key player Branco du Preez, while Australia does not have skipper Ed Jenkins and Shannon Walker.

If you missed the starting Fiji team, it is as follows.
Levani Botia, Inia Tukere, Vilitatai Sokiveta, Joji Raqamate, Ilai Tinai, Setefano Cakau and Maleli Bula.

Meanwhile, Alifereti Dere’s men face Spain in their opening pool encounter at 6.50pm today before taking on Scotland at 10.36pm.

The last pool match is against Kenya at 3.58am on Saturday.
