Drua down Rays to lead NRC points table

The Fiji Airways Drua side has again moved on top of the National Rugby Championship ladder after beating Sydney Rays 34-31 yesterday.

The Senirusi Seruvakula-coached side made a slow start in the game.

Alivereti Veitokani scored the opening try for the Drua in the 35th minute where they trailed 19-5 at half time.

The Drua side regrouped in the second spell scoring five tries to seal the victory.

Apisalome Waqatabu was the star of the match as he scored a double and made two successful conversion.

Veitokani also scored a double and two other tries came from Albert Tuisue and Cyril Reece.

The Drua side will travel to Fiji and will host NSW Country at Suva’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday.
