Fiji Airways Fijiana interim coach Alifereti Doviverata wants to lift the standard of the side following the departure of former coach Iliesa Tanivula.

Doviverata says he is working with a new set of players and aims to remain one of the core teams of the World Women’s Sevens Series.

“I know it’s an advantage. I think the last teams in the last series as they will start looking at the old Fijiana team and they will try and look at the team’s weaknesses and strength but for us because we got totally a new team and I’m sure they don’t know the capability of this girls have.”

The opening round of the women’s 7s series will be held in Glendale, USA on the 20th to the 21st of next month.
