A Police and Army Combined Services team will compete for the first time in the Suva Golden Oldies Rugby tournament next month.

The 10-a-side tournament is one of the clubs fundraising drives to help fight Prostate Cancer in the country.

Suva Golden Oldies Club Vice-President, Craig Smith says the addition of the Combined Services team will boost the level of competition this year.

“Importantly for the male people to come along, we will have the Ministry of Health testing van there. The emphasis of the day is not just for having fun, but it’s also an avenue to be tested for the cause that we are raising for.”

The Combined Services side will compete alongside teams such as Rest of the World, New Zealand and Australia, Fiji, Pacific and Kaji Coaches.

The Suva Golden Oldies Rugby tournament will be held at the Cathedral Secondary School grounds in Nasese on November 21st.
