Vodafone Fiji 7s Coach, Ben Ryan says discipline was not a factor in the team’s performance in the Wellington and Sydney legs of the HSBC World Sevens Series.
Fiji was one of the top three teams in the world circuit that conceded the most yellow cards yet Ryan believes the team is still on the right track.
“It’s a very interesting statistics that top three teams were the worst on most yellow cards on New Zealand, South Africa and Fiji. And we are occupying the top three positions in the World Series so no core relation really with that. I’ve got no problems with the discipline; I think the team is at a good place at the moment.”
The national side will take a one-week break before it resumes training for the Las Vegas 7s on March 5th -7th.
The Vancouver 7s in Canada will be held the following week.
