Development of grassroots level is important as his fight: Singh

Sebastian Singh will not only focus on defending his title against former kick boxer Brent Dames next month.

The World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific super lightweight champion says the development of grassroots level is as important as his fight.

“I was out in Vanualevu last month training kids that ranged from eight years old to thirteen and I was teaching them the fundamental of boxing, who knows I might be training a future Olympian.”

Meanwhile, challenger Brent Dames is ranked 7th of 28 fighters in his category in Australia and the Singh is ranked number one in Fiji.

The boxing program will be held at the Novotel hotel in Lami on the 2nd of next month.
