Queen Victoria School is concerned that the delays and the rematch sagas in the secondary schools rugby will eventually lead to poor performance by players.

School principal, Filimone Vatuvoka says a lot of matches were played to sudden death and this led to QVS taking the field 90 minutes later than scheduled.

He adds this then saw the team reaching the school at 3am the next day.

Vatuvoka says he hopes such delays should be accounted for.

“I think most of the consideration should be based on the welfare of the players and unfortunately, this was not the case. There should be a lot of improvement from FSSRU executives on how they are going to conduct the remaining matches.”

Schools rugby president, Paula Motu says organization has been good so far and such concerns will be taken into consideration.

In the semi-finals this weekend, RKS takes on Nasinu while QVS plays Assemblies of God.
