Vodafone Fiji 7’s rep Masivesi Dakuwaqa is enjoying his stint with the national side as they prepare for the Rio Olympics next month.

Dakuwaqa was born and raised in Nadi and he started his career playing rugby in the local 7’s competition where he played for the Tokatoka Westfield Dragons.

The 22 year old says he is learning a lot from the experienced players in the squad and will try his best to make the final team to Rio.

“It has been a challenge for me vying for a spot in the forwards since some of the boys are overseas based and I am trying my best to be one of the boys in the forwards.”

Dakuwaqa is partially blind but has defied all odds playing a physical sport like rugby and being one of the best at it.

Meanwhile, Ryan names his final 13 member team next Friday.
