Fiji born, Filipo Dagunu was the hero of his side as Queensland Country defeated Canberra Vikings by 42-28 to win the National Rugby Championship final last night.

A hat-trick Daugunu, and a double to skipper Duncan Paia’aua were the highlights, as Country won the second half by 35-8.

The Country was one of the outstanding teams in the NRC this year
