Boxers from Cuba will be in the country next year as they prepare for the Olympic Games.

Fiji Boxing Commission’s Malakai Veisamasama says an amateur boxing body will be set up by early next January.

He says Fiji will have it’s first amateur bout in February and shortly after the
boxers from Cuba will arrive.

Its good timing, the Cubans are coming. They start preparing for the Olympics four years before the Games and this time they will come and assist Fiji.
