The Crusaders have the inside running to defend their Super Rugby title after securing top spot for the finals with a 45-22 win over the Highlanders last night.

Crusaders led 18-17 at half time.

However, Fijian-born Waisake Naholo scored a try for the Highlanders in the second half but was not good enough to match up the Crusaders side.

Meanwhile in today’s matches, Chiefs will take on Brumbies at 5.15pm, Hurricanes battle Blues at 7.35pm while Waratahs will meet Sunwolves at 9.45pm.
