Crunch time for touch rugby

April 30, 2012 4:55 am

Defending champions Raiwai Flyers and Bombers look set to defend their titles in the Fiji Touch Association Rugby weekly competition this year.

FTA media rep Charles Cleary forecasts both teams to defend their men’s super premier and mixed division titles respectively, beginning with the quarterfinals this weekend at Furnival Park in Toorak.

“Well the way they are going, the form that they’re putting in, week after week is really good to see and I’m thinking that they should be able to defend their titles without any competition this year.”

Cleary also expects Super Touch, Barbarians and First Touch to provide the stiffest challenge to the Raiwaqa Flyers and Bombers.
