June 14, 2020 4:32 pm

Cricket Fiji has come up with the new approach to conduct tournaments amid the current pandemic.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned the use of saliva to shine the ball and re-introduced non-neutral umpires for bilateral series.

This is part of interim playing regulations to tackle the threat posed by Covid-19.

Cricket Fiji Chief Executive Alex Konrote says they will endorse the new laws set in place by ICC.

“We are gearing ourselves up to a new way of conducting our Cricket. Because ICC has sent out regulations on how they will do their internationals.”

Now that international competitions for 2020 are off the table, developing the national team through the Higher Performance Unit is key for Cricket Fiji.
