Army wins Sukuna Bowl cricket competition

Army has once again proved too powerful for Police in the Ratu Sukuna Bowl cricket competition.

The Delainabua side won the title for the sixth year in a row at Albert Park yesterday.

Army won with one run and 7 wickets to spare while Police were bowled out with 160 runs.

Army Captain Kitione Tavo says they faced some challenges while preparing for the tournament.

Tavo dedicated the win to all military officers.

Police team Manager Mahesh Mishra says the better team won and they are now looking forward to next year’s competition.

Meanwhile, the Sukuna Bowl competition continues today with Netball.

The main rugby match between Police and Army will be held at the ANZ Stadium tomorrow at 2pm.
