Courts IDC semi-finals today

Fireworks are expected when the Courts Inter-District Championship semi-finals kick off at Lautoka’s Churchill Park today.

Four top teams remain to take out the coveted trophy of Fijian football.

Rewa, which plays Lautoka in the first semi-final have already won the Fiji FACT and BOG titles this year and are looking for their third consecutive tournament win.

Lautoka, which has a star studded team on paper, has won the national league but failed to make the final of any tournament so far this year.

Traditional champions Ba has won the IDC title a record 24 times but are playing their first semi-final of the year.

The Men in Black last won the title in 2015.

Suva is the surprise package in the semi-finals.

The whites have done well under the guidance of coach Sam Lal and technical advisor Anginesh Prasad.

Lautoka plays Rewa at 3pm while at 5pm, Ba battles Suva.

Meanwhile, the Senior Division semi-finals, Navua plays Savusavu at 10am after which Tailevu Naitasiri battles Nadroga.
