The competition for the final 14 in the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is expected to be tougher when the team begins its preparation for the Wellington and Sydney tournaments.

Fiji 7s interim coach Nacanieli Cawanibuka says the Olympic gold medallists who missed the Dubai and Cape Town tournaments will be joining the extended squad next month.

“The boys who have come back from this tour will join the camp with the boys from the last series and also new players who will form a strong wider group. It will ensure will have a strong competition in our preparation and that we can select a team that has come through a very stiff competition in training camp.”
