The Coastal Roos Rugby League team will use the upcoming Nadi Nines Tournament to build up for their tour to Australia, next month.

Team Captain, Maikeli Pita says they are the first rugby league team from Sigatoka to finish top in the tournament and he believes they can do better.

“We are the first team to win in the Premiership. So for the time being we are preparing for the Nines Tournament and then we will be going to Sydney on the 20th of January and our first target is to win the Nines, next week.”

Coastal Roos will be fielding only one team at the Nines Tournament which will be held next Saturday at Prince Charles Park.

The team will then depart the country to compete in Australia where the tournament starts on the 28th of next month.
