Clermont beat Munster

Vodafone Flying Fijians winger Napolioni Nalaga helped the Clermont rugby club to a 16-9 win over Munster of Ireland in the European Championship Cup.

Fritz Lee and Wesley Fofana scored a try each as Clermont became the first French club to win a European game at Munster’s home ground; Thomond Park.

The home side could only manage three penalties to Ian Keatley.

Munster will now need to win next week’s return game to keep alive their hopes of making the European knockout stages for the 16th time in 17 seasons.

In other games, Timoci Nagusa’s Montpellier side was thrashed by Bath 30-5 while Josh Matavesi’s Ospreys side drew 19-all with Racing Metro.
