Changes expected in Skipper Cup competition

The bottom four teams from the Skipper Cup rugby competition may be relegated at the end of next season.

This was proposed at the Fiji Rugby union Special General Meeting in Suva today.

To tighten the competition between franchises in the country, the Fiji Rugby Union has come up with a plan to close the gap between the top two divisions.

The top four teams from the B division will be promoted to the top division.

The proposal have been welcomed by all unions but they have been given time till the FRU Annual General Meeting to think about it.

The FRU AGM will be held next month.
