The captains of the 16 team’s that are part of the Hamilton 7s made a visit to the Hobbiton, a rural movie set used for the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit film series.
They gathered for an official captain’s photo shoot, a tradition of World Rugby.
Speaking to nzrugby.com, captain Tim Mikkelson says, Hamilton will bring a different atmosphere to the tournament over the weekend.
“It’s different probably from the other ones. We normally stand in a line but we all overshadowed the guys here. With the gardens and all sorts of things it’s pretty a classic photo shoot. To be able to play here in Hamilton it will be pretty special because there is a few boys from Hamilton in our team so it’s special for them.”
New Zealand is grouped with Argentina, France and Scotland.
