The Fiji Table Tennis Association conducted a successful junior table tennis camp for children aged between 8-16 years over the second week of holidays.

During the camp, students learned the skills of table tennis such as backhand and forehand.

The camp was also an important lead-up to the Rising Star competition which is designed to help identify the best table tennis talent in Fiji.

On the final day of the camp, the Rising Star tournament event was conducted and all divisions were closely contested.

9 year old, Jai Chauhan, managed a clean sweep of all the boys’ events, which is an amazing achievement for such a young player.

14 year old, Ruta Ioane, also played exceptionally well winning the under 18 and 15 girls events.
