Suva’s Bureta FC and Combine Brothers have been bundled out of the Vodafone National Club Championship after losing its second pool matches at Fiji FA Academy ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva today.

Bureta FC which had the services of Bruce Hughes, Kelvin Naidu, Atonio Tuivuna, Napolioni Qasevakatini and Remueru Takiate lost to Nasinu’s Friends United by 2-1.

Friends’ goal came in from Sandeep Nair and Shaneel Kumar while Bureta’s lone goal was scored by Bruce Hughes.

In a match earlier, Rewa’s Kasavu FC thumped Combine Brothers 12-nil.

Gabby Matanasiga scored four goal in the match for Kasavu.

In the first match, Nailaga FC beat defending champions Blues FC of Nadi by 2-1.
The pool games continue tomorrow.
