The Bua rugby team is out to make an impact as it makes its debut at the Crest Western Primary Schools Rugby Festival in Nadi.

The district is fielding squads from the Under 11 to 14 grades at the two-day competition.

Coach, Ropate Robanakadavu says the performance by the players have been overwhelming despite the short span of time they had to prepare.

“Three of our teams have reached the semi-final stage. And that has shown the preparations that we have had. We have been staging trials for the past few weeks and were in camp for one week before we departed the Island on Sunday to be here for this competition.”

Robakanakavu adds alot of sacrifices have been made to get the team across for the tournament.

The Northerners alongside Nadi, Nadroga, Lautoka and Ba will be competing for the various grades titles that will be determined later tonight.
