Brazil and Switzerland progress to next round

The five times FIFA World Cup champions Brazil are through to the last 16 round after beating Serbia 2-nil in its final pool match this morning.

Paulinho and Thiago Silva scored the goals from Brazil in each half of the game.

In the other group E match, Switzerland drew two all against Costa Rica in Russia.

Brazil qualifies as pool leaders with seven points while Switzerland finishes second with five points.

Brazil plays Mexico at 2am next Tuesday while Sweden faces Switzerland at the same time next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the matches tomorrow, at 2am, Senegal plays Colombia and Japan faces Poland plus at 6am England meets Belgium and Panama battles it out against Tunisia.
