Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Winston Hill is out of the Pacific Games.

This has been confirmed by Team Fiji Boxing Coach Ro Alivate Logavatu.

He says Winston and his brother Jonathan are both out of the competition on technicalities.

Logavatau adds the referee stopped Winston’s fight after 1 minute and 30 seconds into the second round due to an accidental head clash.

The Doctor was consulted as there was a cut above Winston’s opponent, the fight had to be stopped so based on the scorecards at that point Hill was behind on points and the New Caledonian was declared the winner.

Jonathan Hill also lost on a technicality as the referee stopped the fight in the second round.

Meanwhile, Jone Davule won his fight on a unanimous point’s decision against Tahiti.

Davule will take on his Kiribati opponent tomorrow at 11:15am while Zoheb Ali will fight in the bantamweight division at 2:30pm and Elia Rokobul will fight at 3:15pm
