As the nation gets to welcome the New Year with a blast, members of the Fiji Sevens rugby training squad have been warned not to consume alcohol or yaqona.
Assistant coach, Timoci Wainiqolo says the next leg is very important to the team hence, players have been told to stay off the booze to maintain their fitness level.
“I have warned the players about New Year’s. We have told them how important the next leg is for us and we want to remain focused.”
Wainiqolo adds he was happy with the fitness test results, even from players who were called in today.
Players from Red Rock, Lomaiviti Babas and the Suva team attended today’s second batch of fitness tests.
Twenty-one members will be named next week to march into camp.
