Savusavu believes the postponement of the Fiji Sun GP Batteries National Football League has come as a blessing in disguise for them.

President Gopendra Narayan says this will give the team more time to prepare.

Narayan says it’s always hard to have players to train during Christmas and to have had games during this time would have meant playing with an under-strength team.

Narayan adds the extra time would allow new players to settle in.

The National League season now commences mid-January after Cyclone Evan postponed the start last weekend.
