People need to be careful when placing bets for the Melbourne Cup Horse race which takes place tomorrow.

Grants Betting Operations Manager Vijen Kumar Sundar says the competition is meant to me for enjoyment and people need to consider their budget before placing bets.

“My message is that you bet wisely. It’s not that you bet big but you can bet small and still get the fun of it.”

Meanwhile, Japanese Horse Fame Game is the favorite at this year’s race but will face stiff competition from France’s Max Dynamite and Ireland’s Trip to Paris.
