The final round of pool games at the Fiji Taki Basketball Championship wil begin in the next hour at the Vodafone Arena.
Tonight’s eleven games will determine the quarter-finalists for tomorrow.
Basketball Fiji Development Officer, Laisiasa Puamau says no upsets have occurred however, competition has been stiff with close results separating the winners from the losers.
“Teams to watch out for in the men’s division Boston White, defending champions Bryceland Warriors, Suva champions, Saints and Blue Devils from Lautoka. From the women’s competition it will be the defending champions Sparks, Ladybirds and the young USP chosen team.”
Gate takings from this event will go towards the Prime Minister’s Flood Appeal.
Saturday will begin with a march from Cost-U-less featuring the participating teams and Fiji Police Brass Band at 8.30 in the morning.
