Basketball Fiji will host few local test matches for the under-15 extended squad as part of the preparation for the upcoming FIBA Oceania Championship in Papua New Guinea.

Coach William Peter says this will enable young players to be well versed on the competition.

“We have other leagues and associations that are setting up under 15 competitions, and so we’ll be registering these boys into those leagues and let them play few games to help them have a feel of what it’s like to play competitive games, and hopefully they match up to that level of competition.”

The FIBA Oceania Championship will be held from the 2ND to the 8th of December at Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea.
