Basketball Fiji starts health clinic in primary school

Basketball Fiji has started its hoops for health clinic in various primary schools along the Suva corridor.

This is to help children with their healthy living and also to recruit players for the upcoming FIBA championship in Papua New Guinea.

Fiji rep Esala Banuve says the focus is to set the eyes of potential players.

“Main objective of us running clinics around Suva is that Oceania will be hosting a under 15 that’ll be in December and PNG is hosting so running this clinics we are trying to identify players and pull them in into the squad then we train them and then we mould them just to teach them basics so that we can found this players later representing the national team in future.”

Meanwhile the hoops for health clinic will take place for another 10 weeks.
