Basketball Fiji is taking a holistic approach in the development of the national teams after the Oceania Under-18 Championship was completed in Suva over the weekend.

Basketball Fiji chief operating officer Lai Puamau says the tournament provided a learning curve for the local coaches and managers when it comes to participating in international tournaments.

Puamau says they will take a holistic approach and develop the coaches and managers which is the forefront of any team.

He adds they can do better and now the lessons gained during the one-week tournament will give them an insight into other professional teams and how they play.
