The Expos Australia Under 18 baseball team is in the country for the next three days to assist Baseball Fiji.

The visitors have completed a tour to the United Stated and played one of two friendly matches against the local players at the USP grounds in Suva today.

Baseball Fiji development officer, Inoke Niubalavu says their visit is another product of their continuous growth with partnerships overseas.

“This is an opportunity for the Australian players to come and see Fiji and experience the culture and to understand what we are trying to do to get baseball in Fiji up and running here.”

The group will be hosting a fundraising dinner tonight at the Vineyard Restaurant with proceeds going towards Baseball Fiji.
