Bala hopes relationship with Australia continues

AUSTRALIA'S PRIME MINISTER SCOTT MORRISON WITH SPORTS MINISTER PARVEEN BALA

Sports Minister Parveen Bala hopes the relationship between the Australian government and Fiji will continue to strengthen in the coming years.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison made a tour at the Albert Park in Suva this morning to visit the Fiji National Rugby League Executives, Sports Minister, and the Netball Fiji Executives.

Bala says they are hoping the two nations will maintain their relationship in the development of other sports in the country.

“On behalf of the government of Fiji and its people, please allow me to express our gratitude for the kind gesture in launching the program which means a lot to our Fiji Rugby League community in this country.”

The Australian government will assist the Fiji Pearls in their preparation for the Netball World Cup in July and also support the travel cost associated with Fiji entering a team to compete in the NSW Rugby League in the Super Premiership in 2020.
