The Fiji men’s cricket side’s third warm-up match against the Frinton Selection side in England was abandoned in the 36th over due to bad weather this morning.

This was the team’s last build-up match before the World Cricket League Division Six play-offs begin next week.

Cricket Fiji General Manager, Inoke Lesuma says preparations are well on track.

“We took the good things out of it and now we’re looking at areas we can to improve. All is good at camp; this was the last game before the first match next Monday. We’re positive that they will do well and execute everything in the right areas.”

Fiji will face Guernsey in its first match of the WCL Division Six tournament on Tuesday at 9:30pm (Fiji Time).

The national side is also grouped with Botswana and Suriname.

A total of eight teams are competing in the tournament, which serves as qualification for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
